17 Countries, 72 days
For as long as I can remember, I have always had an incredibly strong desire to travel to unknown places. To satisfy that desire (at least for a little bit) I decided the cliché "wander around Europe after college graduation" needed to come true for me. I wanted to have somewhat of a plan going in to the trip so that I could make the most of the time I had while abroad, so I did what every good trip planner does... I drank a few too many glasses of wine with Google maps open one night and woke up the next day with this route as a result and more or less haven't changed it since.
Instead of spending a lot of time in just a few locations, I decided to spend a smaller amount of time in many places. With the time I will have in each place, I'll still be able to at least scratch the surface of 17 different cultures and of course the food scene of each. I still have plenty of life ahead of me to go back and spend more time eating picturesque brunches in Santorini, drinking Sangria on a Spanish beach, or drinking beer in Germany. This trip is just the beginning of much more travel to come.
